Welcome in Le Touquet-Paris-Plage:
The reception of the participants will be on Wednesday 8th June from 14h at the racecourse. The entrance is at the same place as the Hippotel, Avenue de la dune aux loups, 62520, Le TouquetParisPlage. We will be waiting at the entrance to tell you where to park your MG.

Parking at Le Touquet hippodrome:
We have 4 carparks (red, green, blue and yellow) to park your MGs based on which rally you will do the next day.
Blue parking = Route of the two capes
Yellow parking = Bay of the Somme
Green Parking = Monts de Flanders
Red parking = Commemorative sites
Please present your registration document on arrival. You will be directed to the appropriate car park according to which rally you will do on Thursday.
You can then pick up your documents at the reception.
Trailers: If you have a trailer you will be directed to the carpark for modern cars and trailers upon arrival.
Security at the Hippodrome:
Parking at the racecourse of Le Touquet is very close to the main hotels that have been proposed. The MGs can be parked at the racecourse every night. An overnight security service is provided.
Shuttle to the hotels:
A bus service will be provided to go from the main hotels of Le Touquet to the racecourse and to the Palais des Congrès.
The bus route will be provided in the official programme. The bus is provided for the following hotels: Best Western Grand Hotel, Westminster, Embruns, Red Fox, Castel Victoria, Bristol, Chalet, Equinox, Pol Hotel.
If you are in another hotel, you will have to use your MG.
Collection of documents on arrival:
For those involved in the entire MG Event, we recommend that you arrive on Wednesday afternoon to collect all of yourdocuments.
Once your MG is parked, we will give you various documents at the reception: programme, gifts, rally plate, road books ... as well as the items that you have ordered.
You will have everything necessary for the successful running of EEOTY 2016.
If you arrive on Thursday morning: Please arrive at the reception at the racecourse at 7:30 am to collect your documents.
Some rallies depart at 8am.
If you arrive on Friday: For the Ladies Rally, please arrive at the reception at the racecourse at 8am.
For the Abbeville circuit (stadium Abbeville): Please go directly to the Abbeville circuit (from 8am).

Rules of driving in France:
Obviously to attend the MG Event, you must have your driver's license. Your car must be insured. It must have a valid MOT.
The MG must also be in good condition. On arrival, we will ask you to sign a document stating that you agree to comply with all the rules applicable to the traffic laws
in France.

Mechanical assistance:
We will have a team of mechanics present in Le Touquet at the racecourse who can do repairs if needed. This service is
payable. You will need to pay the mechanic direct. You can also buy some parts that we will have on site.
In case of a breakdown on the road, it will be possible to recover your MG on a recovery vehicle to Le Touquet. We recommend that you check that your insurance includes recovery service.

The MGs entered:
There are 370 MGs entered from 15 countries including Australia and South Africa. On the list you will find models of all ages and unique and historic MG cars.
We have created a Facebook page for MG European Event of the Year 2016 where you can find pictures of the MGs registered. You can also put a photo of your car which we will publish.

The Ladies Rally Friday the 10th June 2016:
Only the ladies will drive the MGs for the Ladies Rally but the men will be welcome as codrivers. For this journey of 135 km
90 cars will be divided into two groups. If you want to be with a group of friends, please let us know in advance.

All the crews will meet at the end of the rally in Le Touquet for a grand parade for which here are some important guidelines:
Hat obligatory, simple or extravagant depending on your preference, but mandatory and if possible an outfit appropriate to your MG.
The day at Abbeville tour Friday the 10th June 2016:
On Friday you will drive around the track in the morning and afternoon in 2 sessions. There will be 11 groups of MGs of the same type.
It is a drive around and not a race. You can be accompanied by a passenger. Everyone must wear a helmet. This is obligatory. Cars should not
exceed 90db. We have taken out insurance for cars that will run on the circuit. A third party
liability disclaimer will be requested before driving on the track.
