Programme

The MG Event of the year 2016 is to be held in Le Touquet Paris Plage. The official programme presents 5 rallies to participants, a day on the ciruit at Abbeville and fun activities thoughout the event.

Wednesday the 8th. June 2016:

• Welcome for the participants.

• Participants will be welcomed at the racecourse at Le Touquet from 2pm to 6pm
• Welcome aperitif provided by the town of Le Touquet at the end of the afternoon.
• Evening free.

Thursday 9th. June 2016:

• A choice of 4 rallies to discover the region.

• The participants will be divided into 4 groups according to their choice. 1 rally is reserved for pre-war and T series MGs.

Rally 1: The route of the two capes.

250km along the coast towards the famous «Cap Blanc Nez» and «Gris Nez» along the Boulonnais routes. Visit and lunch at the village of Saint Joseph.

Rally 2:  The assault of the hills of Flanders.

260Km, along the 7 valley roads. Mont des Cats, Mont Noir, Mont Rouge, Mont Cassel. Lunch at Watou in Belgium. Visit a historic place of the 1st World War.

Rally 3: Commemorative sites of Pas de Calais.

150km, from the V2 to the conquest of space with a visit to the Coupole and the Blockhaus at Eperlecques. Discover the Audomaroise region.

Rally 4 : To discover the Bay of the Somme     (reserved for MMM & and T series MGs on Thursday)
150km, with a visit to the town of Montreuil sur Mer. Lunch at Noyelles sur Mer. Discover the Bay of the Somme and  Saint Valéry on the little Bay of the Somme steam train.

Dinner in the Palais de l'Europe at Le Touquet.

Friday 10th. June 2016:

• Participants can chose either a Ladies rally or a day at the race circuit at Abbeville. Gala dinner Friday evening.

Ladies rally, with a hat theme, to discover the Abbey of Valloires. 130km passing by the valleys of the Canche, Créquoise, Planquette, Ternoise and Authie.

Lunch at the Abbey of Valloires. Visit the rose garden. Parade at Le Touquet St Jean street.

Day at the circuit at Abbeville.

• MG demonstration laps all day, divided into groups of cars from the same period. 
• Packed lunch. 
• Parade of all the MGs on the circuit at the end of the day.

Dinner at the Palais de l'Europe at Le Touquet.

Saturday 11th. June 2016:

• A choice of 4 Rallies to discover the region. Participants will be divided into 4 groups according to their choice

• One rally being reserved for pre-war and T series MGs

• Gala diner at the Palais de l'Europe + party with a music big band.

• Exhibition of the MGs in the town of Le Touquet with various activities:

• Concours d'elegance
• Games in the town and on the sea wall
• MG European club stands
• Exhibitions under the covered market and tasting of regional products
• Trials at the racecourse for the MMM and T series
